Whether you’re an individual or business, you’ve probably dealt with door-to-door salespeople before. While it’s not illegal for organisation and their staff to knock on your door to solicit sales, it can be difficult to know how to deal with door-to-door salespeople. What’s the best way to turn away salespeople? If you want to buy, what how should you go about it?

Turning Away Salespeople

Most door-to-door salespeople are selling a specific good, service, or from utility companies persuading you to change your company. If you’re not interested in buying the product, turn away the salesperson with a polite but firm “No”. Explain that you’re not interested or already have the product. Keep in mind that they’re probably just trying to do their job. At the same time, never be complacent about your safety and always open your main door only while keeping security doors closed. Speak to the salesperson through your security door.
